My husband doesn't believe in the diaper genie, and so we use just a plain old trash can. I must say it is cheaper to use a plain old trash can, but however inexpensive it might be, the smell of poopy diapers that lingers long after the actual diaper change has taken place can be, somewhat, distracting.
